The Underachievers Streetsnaps and Interview

I photographed the up and coming hip-hop duo The Underachievers to showcase their streetstyle. We ended up doing the shoot on a walkway right by their apartment and I was able to get photos right before the sun went down. You can check out the post here at HYPEBEAST. I also shot their essential items for HYPETRAK that you can see here. To top it all off, I had an interview with them a month or so later on the last stop of their tour in LA.

Issa Gold: Thousands and thousands of kids have told us we’ve changed their lives. It’s like the main reason why we do our music. We try to create outlets for them. That’s probably the best part of the tour. Not that I hate touring, but it’s so hard for me, the amount of energy… The tour part is hard, people think it’s an amazing experience, but when you think about it you’re traveling every day, day to day, going to new cities. Performing every night… That part gets strenuous. But meeting the fans and knowing we’re affecting them is the best part. We’re super huge music fans, we probably are bigger fans of listening to music than making it. Well I know I am. We understand the relationship people would love to have with their favorite artists or the kind of relationship we have with our favorite artists is the same relationship we want to give to the fans.
